60 Years of freedom or slavery again?

60 Years of freedom or slavery again?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had a chance to visit a small town in Madhya Pradesh and I was shocked to see the state of tribals living there. They say sometimes ignorance is bliss but here I found it to be a curse !Poor fellows!Even after 60 years of freedom they are living in a state of poverty and not because they are born with it but because they are deprived of their rights by few conniving bank officials and agents!
The story goes like this------Few corporate banks which are based in that area in nexus with local goons go to these innocent tribals and offer them loans for tractors for the small land they have at a very low interest rate!In return they ask these tribals to give their land papers as motage or "girvi" as they call it!The bank officials make them sign on many papers which is like greek to the tribals as they are all illiterate! The result--- the tribals are happy to get the tractors which they buy with the help of these bank officials !Everything is O.k for somedays! But when the tribals in his bliss has lost track of the entire deal these crooks come on them with Ration Paani! They not only take away the tractors from them but also the land which is their Roji Roti! Why?Because the poor fellow has not paid the instalments as he was unaware of this part of the deal!Since the land papers are already with the bank the tribals actually do not realize what hit them! They are left gasping for breath with no source of income and nowhere to go!
What do you say about the plight of these poor men who are part of our country?I want to help them but I don't know how to start and from where?Any suggestions?
